Pasta Mista currently has 3 locations in Towson, Timonium, and Canton. I must say that I have been to all of them on numerous occasions. In short, I love this place.
It was my go to place in college and continues to be my go to place now. If you want fast, fresh, authentic, and not to mention cheap pizza, sandwiches and pasta then this is the best place in the area.
I always order the same thing, like it is my calling card, so much so that I can order now without thinking. I'll have a slice of the zappatore and a slice of the spaghetti pizza please. 5 minutes later I am in heaven.
My favorite of their locations is Towson. The college student traffic keeps the place packed which means more variety and fresher pizza to choose from.
Once you enter the small restaurant, walk to the counter and oogle at the dozens of pizza combinations. Then point and tell the pizza guy what you want. If you want to sit down and eat, it is better if one person scoops out the place and hunts for a table. Kind of like the DSW commercial about women hunting for shoes but hunting for a table instead.
A slice of the zappatore pizza is the perfect slice to start with. It has roasted eggplant, mushrooms, fresh tomatoes, cheese, and spices on a crispy crust. The tomatoes make the whole pizza juicy and the eggplant makes the pizza taste hearty and flavorful. The spaghetti pizza is the most amazing pizza creation that I have experienced. You take a pizza crust then pile spaghetti on top then cover it with more dough like you are covering an apple pie. Take this with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. It is simple but perfect and you can eat it over and over again without it ever getting old.
You can get 2 amazing slices of pizza and be completely stuffed for less than $5 bucks. You cannot beat it. No wonder this place is packed.
